The narrow strip of shore where water ends and sand begins is a stage of theatrical events. Small in scale, yet powerful and dramatic in nature.

After a wave have finished its assault on the shore, its waters, drained of energy, retreat aimlessly. Nowת the stage must be cleared for the next scene of the new coming wave. The water from the first wave retreats down the slope towards the sea, slowed by friction with sand grains beneath them. With no alternative, the retreating water laden with sand are lifted upward, giving life to tiny brown figurines, no larger than a finger.

These figurines hover in the air for a fleeting instant, metamorphosing to strange shapes of beauty and terror, wander and panic, before being crushed beneath the next coming wave.
